What is a Turkey eVisa?

A Turkey eVisa is an official document to travel to Turkey. The e-Visa is an alternative to visas issued by Turkish missions and customs offices. The applicants get their visas electronically after entering the necessary information and after paying by credit or debit card (Mastercard, Visa, or UnionPay).

If the application has been successfully completed, you can download the e-Visa via a link. This link will also be emailed to you. However, we advise you to also have the e-Visa with you as a soft copy (tablet PC or smartphone for example) or a hard copy (print out) in case of a malfunction in the system.

What are the benefits of a Turkey eVisa?

An e-Visa is widely available online and saves you time. You do not need to apply for a visa at Turkish missions or at the (air) port upon entering Turkey.

How is my personal information, which I have provided during the e-Visa application process, protected?

The Republic of Turkey will not provide information to third parties, sell, rent or otherwise use it for commercial purposes. All information of the application and e-Visa issued are stored in highly secured systems. The applicant bears full responsibility for the security of the soft and hard copies of the e-Visa. The applicant also bears full responsibility if that data ends up in the hands of third parties.

If my travel details change, can I also change the dates of my Turkey eVisa?

No. You must then apply for a new e-Visa.

Do I have to go to Turkey on the exact date I indicated during my application?

No, the validity period of the e-Visa starts from the date of application. You can enter Turkey at any time within that period.

Who is eligible for an e-Visa?
