How long can I stay in Turkey as a tourist

Turkey, a country bridging two continents, has captured the imagination of travelers from around the world with its rich history, diverse culture, and stunning landscapes. As an aspiring visitor, you may be wondering about the duration of your stay and how long you can explore this captivating nation. In this blog, we will delve into the factors that determine the length of your visit to Turkey. Entrancevisaturkey.com provides you with guidance to help you plan your unforgettable journey.

Validity period and length of stay for an online visa

If you follow all regulations carefully, you will avoid penalties, expulsion and/or an entry ban. The Turkey visa is valid for 180 days from the “Visa validity start date” that you enter in the application form. Within these 180 days, you are usually allowed to stay in Turkey for a maximum of 90 days. However, for travelers who are nationals of some countries, the e-visa is valid for a maximum of 30 days.

You are allowed to spend the total number of consecutive days in Turkey with your e-Visa.  You can also split your stay by making several individual trips within the validity period. However, this is not allowed for all travelers on an e-Visa, regardless of whether the maximum stay is 90 days or 30 days. This is because some travelers who can apply for the e-Visa on this website are only eligible for a single-entry visa. Example of the validity of a visa to enter Turkey

You fill in the application form for Turkey e-Visa on February 1st. In the form you indicate that your visa should be valid from March 1st. The visa is then valid for 180 days, i.e. until August 28th. So, you can stay in Turkey for a maximum of 90 days between March 1st and August 28th. This can be a stay of 90 consecutive days (e.g. if you have a single-entry visa).  You can also make three trips to Turkey on a multiple-entry visa and stay in Turkey for 30 days each stay. You can travel to Turkey as many times as you like on a multiple entry visa. Just remember that the total number of days of stay should not be exceeded during the 180-day validity period.

The same applies to multiple-entry e-Visas with a shorter validity period of no more than 30 days. However, a single-entry visa only allows you to make a single trip to Turkey. Do you have a single-entry visa? If you are in the country for less than the maximum number of days, you will not be allowed to re-enter after you have left the country. In this case, however, you can apply for a new single-entry visa.
