The implementation of the Turkey Electronic Visa system has simplified the process of applying for visas online. The Turkey e-Visa program was introduced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey in 2013.

For travelers from Bermuda, it is required to apply for a Turkey e-Visa to visit Turkey for a duration of up to 90 days, whether it is for tourism, business, transit, or medical purposes. It is both necessary and optional to obtain a Turkey Visa for Bermudian citizens that want to stay for a short time. The passport of the visa holder must have a validity of at least six months beyond the date of departure from Turkey.

Turkey Entry Requirements for Bermudian Citizens

Bermudian citizens wishing to enter Turkey must possess a valid travel document or passport and apply for a Turkey e-Visa. It is important for individuals with multiple nationalities to apply with the same passport they intend to use for travel. The e-Visa will be associated with the specified passport during the application process. At the airport, there is no need to print or present any physical documents. The Turkey Electronic Visa is stored electronically and linked to the passport in the Turkey Immigration system.

To complete the application, applicants must have a valid credit or debit card or a PayPal account for payment purposes. Additionally, Bermudian residents must provide a functional email address to receive the Turkey e-Visa in their mailbox. In case the information on the passport does not precisely match the details on the Turkey visa, a new e-Visa application must be submitted.

Turkish E-visa Policy For Bermudian Citizens

For Bermudian citizens, the departure date from Turkey should occur within 90 days from the date of arrival. Regardless of the duration of their trip, holders of Bermudian passports are required to obtain a Turkey Electronic Travel Authority (Turkey e-Visa). However, if they plan to stay in Turkey for a period longer than 90 days, they need to apply for the appropriate visa based on their specific circumstances.

It’s important to note that the validity of the Turkey e-Visa is limited to travel and business purposes only. If you intend to travel to Turkey for study or work, you must apply for a regular/traditional/sticker visa through the Turkish embassy or consulate general in your jurisdiction.

While the standard validity period for the Turkey e-Visa is 180 days, Bermudians are allowed to stay in Turkey for a maximum of 90 days within that time frame. The Turkey e-Visa is a multiple-entry visa, allowing for multiple entries during its validity period.
